This limited edition necklace is approx. 19” long, and has a sterling silver toggle clasp.

The beautiful amber pendant is from Tibet and is set in a silver repousse bezel, featuring animals and plants. Repousse is a method of embossing a sheet of metal by punching and hammering the piece on alternating sides to create volume.

The inspiration for this piece came from the gorgeous coloring of the amber. I alternated hand carved carnelian beads from Afghanistan, these have a matt finish, freshwater coin pearls, and yellow hebron trade beads from Sudan, Africa. Hebron beads are made with dead sea salt and date to the mid 1800’s. They have great patinas and pitting. Next came Thai Hill Tribe silver beads, hand made glass beads from Afghanistan, and carnelian beads from India.
