The name Chinatsu is Japanese in origin and means “ a thousand summers”. The hand cut and polished stone that makes up her body is picture jasper. Found worldwide, jasper is an opaque variety of chalcedony. It often contains organic material and mineral oxides which gives it interesting patterns, bands, and colors. It is considered a protective stone.

This stone is truley magnificent. The patterns create a perfect landscape. When you look closely you can see canyons, and a rising sun, and even little gray clouds in the sky. A perfect summer day. Her head is faceted quartz. I have also used smokey quartz and sterling silver beads and findings. She hangs from a genuine leather cord.
