Sun Goddess
$1,035.00
This One-of-a-Kind necklace is approx. 26” long.
The pendant is an antique gypsy pendant from the nomadic Kuchi tribes of Afghanistan. It is a beautiful piece and has faces stamped in the silver drops. The large red round beads are hand cut carnelian also from Afghanistan and they have a matt finish. I alternated these with antique Sherpa coral trade beads. The Sherpa coral beads were traded in Tibet as coral – but are actually wound glass beads made in china in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. They are named after the ethnic “Sherpa” people who live in the Himalayas of Tibet.
In the second and third rows I used antique afghani silver amulets, antique hand cut carnelian from India, and freshwater pearls. Sterling silver beads and findings are used throughout the design.
Hand crafted in the USA using imported materials.
